Definitely, definitely, definitely one of my favorites in the BDB series. It’s real. Raw. Emotional. I must say how I am always enamored with the Warden’s writing and how she is so able to keep it out of cliche-city. Just when you expect it to go down one path, because the real path hurts, she keeps it real. And that allows me to really connect with the characters and their story. This world that she’s created is one of my favorites to get lost in, but the characters are what keeps me coming back.
